That sounds simple enough, right? Really, that is all you need to make money online — not another book or course designed to make its author rich verses actually helping you. 


Hurdles you'll have to overcome...

The first hurdle is technical. You have to figure out how to buy hosting. How to create a web page. How to write sales copy. How to set up and configure your newsletters and autoresponders. How to get around SPAM filters. How to accept credit cards online. Etc, etc. 

There is a large learning curve just figuring out the lingo to know how to ask a third party to do things for you, and if you wish to learn how to do it for yourself, that is a HUGE time and money investment. 

Then, you have create an ebook or other informational product to sell. Just one ebook can take a month or more to put together. And you don't even know if it will sell or not until you start marketing it. 

Indeed, you may have to create several products to come up with a "winner". 


So what happened to passive income?

Once you start making money, you have to worry about customer service. Shipping physical products. Coming up with fresh content to send to your newsletter, to keep people interested. 

In the end, it ends up being W-O-R-K — and lots of it. This is hardly the dream of "automatic riches" and "passive income" that you've been pitched on over and over again.
